The review committee saw SAW APPLICATIONS FROM SEVERAL NEW SCHOOLS in 2024. the caliber of applications continues to be impressive and inspire hope for this next generation. one of james’ former teachers wrote the following about one of this applicants, “her attitude toward life reminds me so much of James and the impact he made on others. she is selfless and so many teachers and students at this school feel special because she goes out of her way to show an interest in and support others. Like James, her sweet spirit reflects the love of Jesus. i wish all students (and adults) were as selfless and genuine as her and james.” A second teacher wrote these words for a second young lady, “I am so honored to write this recommendation for such a wonderful young woman. We in the world are made better by people like her. And James.” THE SCHOLARSHIPS CONTINUE TO PROVIDE AN AVENUE TO SHARE JAMES' LEGACY with a new generation AND CONTINUE JAMES’ GOAL IN LIFE. WHEN ASKED BY HIS CLASSMATES WHAT HE WANTED TO DO AFTER GRADUATING FROM SCHOOL, JAMES WOULD ALWAYS REPLY, “ALL I WANT TO DO IS MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE’S LIVES.” THE SCHOLARSHIP DOES THAT AND IS PRESENTED TO YOUNG PEOPLE WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR WORLD.
